Savannah, GA (December 7, 2018) – On Friday, November 30, 2018, the GBI arrested Todd Orlando Pearson, 39, for Violation of Oath by Public Officer. The arrest was based on a Chatham County Grand Jury indictment on November 14, 2018.

On March 2, 2017, the Springfield Police Department requested the GBI to investigate allegations of Pearson requesting sexual favors from a complainant in return for assistance with a traffic ticket she had previously received in the City of Springfield. Pearson was the Springfield Municipal Court Solicitor during the time of the complaint and traffic ticket. Although the traffic charge in question originated in Effingham County, the investigation and subsequent venue of the Violation of Oath charged occurred in Chatham County.
