GBI Seeks Information in George Wayne Pailloz, Jr. Missing Person Investigation

Sparta, Hancock County, GA (August 12, 2026) – The GBI is seeking information on the disappearance of George Wayne Pailloz Jr., age 55, of Sparta, GA. The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office requested the GBI to assist in the missing person investigation on Wednesday, July 29, 2026.

On Monday, July 27, 2026, Pailloz Jr. went to a home on Island Creek Church Road in Sparta, GA. Pailloz Jr. never returned and could not be found at the home.

This investigation is active and ongoing.
