GBI Investigates Shooting in Dublin, GA
Dublin, Georgia (May 6, 2026) – The GBI is investigating a shooting that left one man injured on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at the Vinson Village Apartments in Dublin, GA. The Dublin Police Department requested the GBI to investigate on May 6, 2026.
At about 12:08 a.m. on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, the Dublin Police Department received a call for assistance in reference to a person who had been shot at the Vinson Village Apartments at the intersection of Dewey Street and West Mary Street in Dublin, Laurens County, GA. When officers arrived, they discovered an 18-year-old from Dublin with multiple gunshot wounds. Witnesses reported that an argument occurred before the shooting.
The man was taken to the hospital for treatment, where he is currently listed in critical condition.
No arrest has been made at this point in the investigation.
