Quitman, GA (March 7, 2025) - At the request of the Quitman Police Department, GBI agents are investigating an aggravated assault in Quitman, GA. 

On Tuesday, March 4, 2025, a 911 call reported a shooting at Preston Place Apartments in Quitman, Georgia. Agents and a Crime Scene Specialist responded to work the investigation alongside Quitman P.D. investigators. An 18-year-old man and a 22-year-old man were taken to local hospitals with gunshot wounds. The 18-year-old remains hospitalized in stable condition. The 22-year-oldwas treated and released.
