GBI Investigates Death in Talbotton, GA

Talbotton, Georgia (January 16, 2025) – The GBI is investigating a death that occurred in Talbotton, Talbot County, Georgia. On Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at about 2:20 p.m., the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office requested the GBI to investigate a shooting.

The preliminary investigation indicates that at about 2:10 p.m., the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a home on Tuck Person Highway in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, deputies learned that Fazion Terry, age 29, of Woodland, GA, and another man were involved in an argument that resulted in both men being shot. Terry was pronounced dead on the scene. The other man was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Columbus, where he was treated for injuries sustained during the shooting.

No arrest(s) have been made at this time. The investigation is active and ongoing.
