Pooler, GA (August 12, 2024) - At the request of the Pooler Police Department, GBI agents are investigating a death in Pooler, GA.


On Saturday, August 10, 2024, Pooler Police Department officers conducted two welfare checks at a home off South Skinner Avenue after receiving information about a missing person. Officers located a body in a shed in the backyard. Following an initial examination of the scene, investigators suspect foul play.


The body was sent to the GBI Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy. The victim’s identity will be released once the body is positively identified and next of kin is notified.

No arrests have been made at this time.
