Adairsville, Bartow County, GA (July 10, 2024) – At the request of the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office, the GBI is investigating a death.

On Sunday, July 7, 2024, at about 7:30 a.m., a Bartow County Sheriff’s Office deputy was dispatched to a vehicle fire on the south bound shoulder of Interstate 75, Bartow County, GA. When the deputy arrived on scene, they discovered there was a person dead inside the car.

The body was taken to the GBI Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy. Once the identity of the victim is confirmed, his name will be released.
