Thomson, GA (January 29, 2021) – On Friday, January 29, 2021, at approximately 5:50 a.m., the Georgia Bureau of Investigation was requested by the Thomson Police Department to assist with a shooting incident that occurred at the Brickyard Village Apartments at 125 Springfield Street, in Thomson, Georgia.  

Preliminary information revealed that Thomson Police Department officers responded to the Brickyard Village Apartments after receiving a call regarding shots being fired in the area. Upon arrival, GBI Special Agents learned that one juvenile had been shot but sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The juvenile victim was transported to a local hospital where they were treated for gunshot wounds and eventually released. GBI Agents further learned that it appears that two apartments were struck by gunfire.
