GBI Makes Arrest in Coffee County Murder and Aggravated Assault
Douglas, GA (September 22, 2020) – On Saturday, September 19, 2020, the GBI arrested Oscar Manuel Camacho, 71, and charged him with one count of Felony Murder, two counts of Aggravated Assault, and Possession of Firearm during the commission of certain crimes. Camacho was booked into the Coffee County Jail.
On Saturday, September 19, 2020, the GBI’s Douglas Regional Office received a request from the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office to assist with a death investigation. On Friday, September 18, 2020, at approximately 11:30 p.m., the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office responded to 80 Strickland Road, Douglas, Coffee County, GA, in reference to a person found deceased. Upon arrival, deputies found Julio Cesar Morgado-Blanco, 57, deceased from apparent gunshot wounds. Camerino Bautista was also located at the residence and was suffering from gunshot wounds. Bautista was transported to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital for treatment. Morgado-Blanco was transported to the GBI Crime Lab in Macon where an autopsy will be conducted. The three men lived at the residence as roommates.
