Remains Found in Effingham County Identified as Missing Bryan County Woman

Ellabell, GA (August 24, 2020) – On Thursday, July 16, 2020, at approximately 9:00 a.m., the Georgia Bureau of Investigation was requested by the Bryan County Sheriff's Office to assist with a missing person investigation. A friend reported Renee Reagan, 44, missing on July 8, 2020. The friend advised she last spoke with Reagan on October 21, 2019. The last known address for Reagan was 685 Homestead Drive, Ellabell, Bryan County, GA.

On July 20, 2020, a body was found in Effingham County. As a result of forensic testing by the GBI Crime Lab, the body has been identified as Renee Reagan. The Effingham County Sheriff’s Office is conducting the death investigation.
