Ware County, GA (May 15, 2020) – On Friday, May 15, 2020, the GBI arrested Ware County Jailer Larry David Ross III, age 23, on charges of Violation of Oath of Office and Battery.

The GBI was requested by the Ware County Sheriff’s Office to investigate allegations that Ross assaulted Ware County Jail inmate Devante Shaquil Wells of Waycross.  Wells was arrested earlier today on charges of criminal trespass and battery stemming from an incident this morning.

Ross will be booked into the Ware County Jail.  He has worked at the jail for less than 2 years.

This case is being investigated by our Douglas (Region 4) Office.  The investigation is active and ongoing
