UPDATE

Tifton, GA (August 10, 2020) - On Monday, August 10, 2020, Stanley Watson, 27, was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Service in Brookhaven, GA. Watson was wanted for murder, aggravated assault, and armed robbery in connection to the murder of Michael Riggins that occurred on January 24, 2020 in Tifton, GA. He will be transported to the Tift County Jail. Sean Chin was previously apprehended in Florida and Quintas Ryan was previously apprehended in New York. The GBI would like to thank the communities of Tifton and Tift County, Tift County Sheriff’s Office, Newburgh Police Department (New York), Riviera Beach Police Department, West Palm Beach Police Department, Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force-Atlanta and Macon Office, and the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force-Southern District of Florida for their vital assistance in arresting all three suspects.

ORIGINAL RELEASE

Tifton, GA (February 26, 2020) – On Monday, February 24, 2020, Kevionta Trayvon Hicks, age 20, was arrested on charges of Felony Murder, Aggravated Assault, and Armed Robbery, and Tiffany Nicole Myers, age 36, was arrested for Giving False Statements, in connection with the death of Michael Riggins, age 34, that occurred at 54 Eastgate Drive in Tifton, GA on January 24, 2020. Hicks and Myers were taken into custody at the Tifton Police Department. 

Arrest warrants for Felony Murder, Aggravated Assault, and Armed Robbery were also obtained for Quintas Taszir Ryan, age 22, Stanley Ray Watson, age 27, and Sean Chin, age 32. Ryan, Watson, and Chin have not been taken into custody at this time.

On January 24, 2020, the Tifton Police Department requested the GBI to assist in the death investigation of Michael Riggins. Preliminary information indicated that during the mid-day hours of January 24, 2020, Tifton Police Officers responded to 54 Eastgate Drive in Tifton, GA in reference to a report of an unresponsive male. Once officers arrived, they discovered Michael Riggins suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Riggins was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene. Michael Riggins’ body was transported to the GBI Macon Crime Lab where an autopsy was performed.
