Richmond Hill, Georgia (October 4, 2019) – On Friday, October 4, 2019, the GBI Statesboro office arrested Matthew Lucas Bryant, age 30, for Murder and Cruelty to Children regarding the death of a 5-month-old infant.

On October 2, 2019, the GBI was requested by Chief of Police Raymond Shores of the Richmond Hill Police Department to investigate an infant death that occurred in Richmond Hill, Georgia. The investigation and autopsy revealed that the infant died as a result of severe head trauma.  Bryant was booked in to the Bryan County Jail without incident.
