Lumber City, Georgia (July 16, 2019) – On Monday, July 15, 2019, at approximately 11:00 A.M., the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Eastman Office assisted the Lumber City Police Department with an armed robbery at the Lumber City Drug Store located 3316 East Golden Isles Parkway, Lumber City, Telfair County, Georgia.  The drug store was entered by two black males wearing camouflage and dark colored clothing, along with motorcycle helmets.  The suspects encountered the drug store owner and another employee.  The suspects then brandished black semi-automatic handguns and ordered the owner and employee to the floor.  The employee was zip tied by one of the suspects.  The owner was ordered to unlock the safe in the office and the suspects took cash from the safe.  The suspects then ordered the owner to relinquish various opioid pills and liquids.  The suspects then exited the store and left on a Hayabusa motorcycle together and traveled north on Hwy 117 towards Jacksonville, Georgia.  The motorcycle was discovered abandoned approximately 11 miles north of Lumber City on a dirt lane.  The motorcycle was determined to be stolen out of Lagrange and the license plate was stolen from another motorcycle from Jacksonville, Florida.
