Atlanta, GA (May 10, 2019) – On Sunday, May 5, 2019, agents of the GBI West Metro Regional Drug Enforcement Office arrested three individuals at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. These arrests were part of an ongoing investigation into subjects smuggling contraband via domestic and international flights.

Agents arrested Marcus Daryl Malcom, 25, of Stone Mountain, GA. He is charged with Trafficking Marijuana and Possession of Schedule IV controlled substances. Agents also arrested Ashley Makia Farmer, 32, of Memphis, TN and Valerye Natili Mortimore, 28, of Smyrna, Georgia. Both are charged with Trafficking Marijuana and possession of a Schedule I controlled substance. All were transported to the Clayton County Jail.

Agents seized approximately 97.6 lbs of marijuana and THC vape pens.

Also assisting in the investigation were the Georgia Department of Corrections, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Clayton County Police Department, and Atlanta Police Department.
