Hawkinsville, GA. – On Friday, February 15, 2019, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Eastman Office was requested by the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office to investigate a homicide that occurred at approximately 6:18 p.m. on the same date.  The shooting incident occurred outside at Henry Way Apartments located at 62 6th Street, Hawkinsville. 

The victim has been identified as Shundrecus Jackson, age 28, of Hawkinsville.  The shooter has been identified as Terry Harris Jr, age 28, of Hawkinsville.  Harris is cooperating with investigators and no charges have been filed at this time. 

Initial investigative efforts revealed that a verbal exchange ensued between Harris and another individual.  At which time, Jackson produced a firearm and was shot by Harris. 

Agents and Investigators are interviewing witnesses and will continue to work with the Oconee District Attorney’s Office to determine if charges will be filed.  A thorough and complete investigation will be conducted.  At the conclusion of the investigation, the complete case file will be provided to the Oconee District Attorney’s Office for review.
