GBI Investigates Deaths in Camden County
Camden County, GA (January 16, 2019) – On Thursday, November 8, 2018, law enforcement agencies in Camden County responded to three separate deaths. Andrew Jacob Bargman (57 years old), Antone Moncrieff (27 years old), and Melissa Nelson (41 years old) were all found deceased within hours of one another and all in various locations throughout Camden County, Georgia. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation, the St. Marys Police Department, the Kingsland Police Department, and the Camden County Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation into the deaths in an effort to determine the cause and if there was a connection between the deaths. Crime Lab examinations determined that all three died as a result of acute Fentanyl and Cocaine Toxicity.
As a result of the investigation, on November 8, 2018, Alonzo Davis, 39 years old, was arrested on outstanding warrants. On December 27, 2018, additional warrants were taken on Alonzo Davis, two counts of O.C.G.A.16-13-30, the Distribution or Sale of a Controlled Substance, Fentanyl and Cocaine, and one count of O.C.G.A.16-5-1, Felony Murder, reference the death of Antone Moncrieff. On January 15, 2019, Rashaad Penta Hines, 41 years old, was arrested for one count of O.C.G.A.16-13-30, the Distribution or Sale of a Controlled Substance, Fentanyl and Cocaine, and one count of O.C.G.A.16-5-1, Felony Murder, reference the death of Andrew Jacob Bargman.
