GBI Makes Arrest in Pharmacy Burglaries
Glenwood, GA (December 4, 2018) – On Monday, December 3, 2018, Joshua Tyler Jay, 32, of Metter, GA, was arrested by the GBI in connection with a burglary that occurred at Wheeler County Drug Company in Glenwood, Wheeler County, GA. The GBI was requested to assist with this investigation on Monday, November 5, 2018.
Information developed during this investigation linked Joshua Jay with multiple other incidents involving pharmacies in Vidalia, Hazlehurst, Douglas, and Statesboro, GA. At this time, Jay is charged with Burglary, Criminal Damage to Property, Theft by Taking, Possession of Tools for the Commission of a Crime, and Criminal Trespass. Jay is currently being held at the Toombs County Jail.
