GBI Arrests Former Monroe Deputy in Sexual Misconduct Investigation
Monroe County, GA (August 30, 2018) – On Thursday, August 30, 2018, former Monroe County Deputy Bill Miller, age 38, was arrested on a charge of Violation of Oath of Office.
On Monday, August 27, 2018, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office requested the GBI to investigate allegations against Miller of sexual misconduct. Preliminary information indicates that on August 14, 2018, Miller made graphic comments to a woman he had recently arrested in exchange for dismissal of the charges against her.
Miller has been employed with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office since April 2018. He has been in law enforcement since 2014. Miller was booked in to the Monroe County Jail without incident.
