Thomson, GA - On Wednesday, March 14, 2018, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation was requested by the McDuffie County Sheriff’s Office to assist with an investigation concerning the deaths of Kenyetta Germany, 43 years old, and Cheri Stone, 42 years old, both of Evans, Georgia.

On Tuesday, March 13, 2018, the Georgia State Patrol responded to a crash scene on Sterling Wells Road in Thomson where the vehicle occupied by Germany and Stone had exited the roadway and struck a tree. Upon the arrival of GSP Troopers it was learned that both Germany and Stone were deceased.

Germany and Stone were transported to the GBI Crime Lab in Decatur, Georgia for autopsies which took place on Wednesday, March 14, 2018. Preliminary autopsy results revealed that both Germany and Stone died as a result of gunshot wounds and the manner of death is being ruled as homicide.
