Update-Arrest Made in Cairo Armed Robbery/Aggravated Assault
Cairo, GA - Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) agents and Cairo Police Depatment officers arrested Timothy Henderson, age 23, at his residence on Donalson Lane in Cairo. Henderson has been charged with Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony, and Criminal Attempt to Commit Armed Robbery. Henderson is being held in the Grady County Jail.

Cairo, GA - On Thursday, January 25, 2018, at about 9:00 p.m., Cairo Police Department requested the assistance of the GBI Thomasville field office regarding an armed robbery, aggravated assault that took place at Hud’s Convenience Store, located at 375 5th St. S.E., in Cairo, Georgia.
The clerk on duty was shot by a masked subject who entered the store wearing a black jacket, white polo style shirt, red skull cap and dark colored gloves. The subject then fled the store.
Area law enforcement assisted in the search for the gunman which included a Bainbridge Department of Public Safety K9, the Grady County Sheriff’s Office, and Georgia State Patrol. The subject has not been located as of this time. Agents and Police are continuing to follow leads, gather and review evidence, and identify any witnesses.
