Gibson, Glascock County, Georgia - On Thursday, December 21, 2017, at approximately 9:05 p.m., the Glascock County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call regarding an armed robbery that occurred at the Mini Mart located at 213 East Main Street in Gibson, Georgia.

At approximately 9:29 p.m., Glascock County Sheriff’s Office requested the assistance of the GBI Region 7 Office regarding the armed robbery.  GBI and Glascock County Sheriff’s Office Deputies began conducting interviews reference this investigation.  Preliminary investigation revealed that an unknown white male wearing dark colored clothing brandished a handgun as the employees of the business were leaving and took an undisclosed amount of money from them. 

During the investigation a Glascock County Sheriff’s Deputy’s patrol vehicle was stolen from the Mini Mart.  Glascock County Sheriff’s Deputies and the GBI later located the vehicle at the 100 block of Dean Street in Gibson, Georgia.  Kyle Mathew Tarr, age 27, was arrested for the theft of the patrol vehicle.  Additional charges are pending against Tarr.
