Adel, GA - On Saturday, August 26, 2017, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) Region Four Office was requested by the Adel Police Department to investigate the death of Carl Edward Kaiser.

Preliminary information from law enforcement agencies indicated that on August 26, 2017, at approximately 4:04 p.m., the Adel Police Department received a 911 call of shots fired at 301 South Oak St., Adel, Georgia.
 
Officers arrived on scene and found brothers, Carl Edward Kaiser, 51, and Bobby L. Kaiser, 46, suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were transported to South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, Georgia. Carl Kaiser was pronounced dead upon arrival and Bobby Kaiser was treated for a non-life threatening wound. An autopsy will be performed on Carl Kaiser at the GBI Crime Lab in Macon.
 
A third subject, identified as Cervantez Pertilla, 37, drove himself to the Cook Wellness Center in Adel, where he was treated for a gunshot wound. Pertilla was later transported to the South Georgia Medical Center for treatment. Pertilla is in critical but stable condition.
