Hogansville, GA - On Tuesday August 15, 2017, Frank James Dailey, 39, was arrested in Heard County for multiple counts of Violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act. Agents with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s West Metro Regional Drug Enforcement Office (WMRDEO) began receiving information that Dailey was in Heard County after fleeing from authorities in Coweta County.

Agents developed information that Dailey was residing at 24 Judy Court, in Hogansville, Georgia. WMRDEO agents and the United States Marshals Service went to the residence where they made contact with Melissa Cook, 40.  Cook denied Dailey was in the residence; however, a search of the house found Dailey hiding in a concealed compartment in the master bedroom closet. Dailey was taken into custody without incident.

Dailey was arrested for outstanding warrants out of Coweta County in addition to outstanding probation and parole warrants. Dailey was further charged by WMRDEO for sale of methamphetamine. Cook was arrested for obstruction of a law enforcement officer. Dailey is currently in the Coweta County Jail and Cook is in the Heard County Jail.

This arrest was the result of a lengthy investigation between WMRDEO, the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office, and the United States Marshals Service.
