Washington, GA. – On Monday, August 14, 2017, at approximately 1:38 a.m., the Wilkes County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call advising a male, who was later identified as Frederick Deon Cade, 44 years old, was deceased on Peachtree Street, in Washington, Georgia. 

The GBI Region 7 Office was requested to assist Wilkes County Sheriff’s Office with this investigation.  Throughout the investigation, it was determined the manner of death of Frederick Cade was a homicide. 

On Monday, August 14, 2017, at approximately 11:00 a.m., arrest warrants for Jarvis Lamont Milton, 30 years old, were issued by a Magistrate Judge.  At approximately 2:00 p.m., Lamont Milton was arrested on Sharon Road in Washington, Georgia, without incident.  Milton was transported to the Wilkes County Jail in Washington, Georgia.

The Georgia State Patrol, Department of Natural Resources and Greene County Sheriff’s Office also assisted with the investigation.
