McRae, Georgia –  An arrest has been made in the death of a McRae women.  Jarvius Jemaine Woods, 30, was charged with murder today in the killing of Patrice Ellis.  Ellis’ body was found by her roommate on May 15, 2017 inside their residence.  An autopsy found that Ellis, 30, died of a sharp force injury.  Woods, also a resident of McRae, was an acquaintance of Ellis.  Woods is being held in the Dodge County Jail, where he is facing unrelated charges.

The investigation was conducted by the McRae-Helena Police Department, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), and the Department of Community Supervision (DCS).
