Update-Coffee County Train Victim Identified
Douglas, GA— The body of a young man struck by a train in Coffee County has been identified. The GBI Medical Examiner’s office positively identified Tydarius Akeem Reed, 17, of Douglas, as the victim found along the railroad track between Dennis Harper Road and Palmetto Road.
On Monday, December 12, 2016, at approximately 2:30 AM, deputies with the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office responded to a portion of the CSX railway system between Dennis Harper Rd. and Palmetto Rd. in Coffee County, Georgia, in reference to a person being struck by a train. GBI agents and Coffee County investigators located the body of a black male who at that time had been unidentified.
