Crawfordville, GA – On Wednesday, September 21, 2016, at approximately 5:20 PM, the GBI was contacted by the United States Marshal’s Service Fugitive Task Force and learned that Ronnie Williams was arrested without incident in Rockdale County, Georgia for the offense of Armed Robbery in connection to the robbery of the Farmers and Merchants Bank in Crawfordville, Georgia on September 13, 2016. Preliminary information revealed that Williams contacted Rockdale County law enforcement and stated he wanted to surrender to law enforcement officials. Shortly after the call, Willliams was located by law enforcement officials and was taken into custody. Williams was transported to the Rockdale County Jail where a hold was placed on him for Taliaferro County officials.

The GBI and Taliaferro County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the U.S. Marshal’s Service Fugitive Task Force and Rockdale County law enforcement officials for their assistance in locating Williams.
