Lakeland, GA - On Saturday, September 10, 2016, GBI agents obtained arrest warrants for the following subject in connection with the death of Willis Lamar Flintroyal and shooting of Schalonda Beatrice Johnson: Lewis Shukung Geddie (1) count Felony Murder, (1) one count Aggravated Assault. Fredrick Tyrone Calhoun (1) count of Aggravated Assault, and (1) count of Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon. Calhoun was charged in the shooting of Lewis Shukung Geddie.

On September 9, 2016, the GBI’s Douglas Regional Office was requested by the Lakeland Police Department to investigate the shooting of Willis Lamar Flintroyal 32. At approximately 11:30 PM, officers with the Lakeland Police Department responded to 75 E. Peeler Ave., Lakeland, Lanier County Georgia in reference to a report of a shooting.  Upon arrival, officers found Flintroyal suffering from a gunshot wound.  Flintroyal was transported to the SGMC Hospital in Lakeland by family members and was later pronounced dead. Schalonda Beatrice Johnson 32 was also transported by family to SGMC in Lakeland with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

While at the Peeler Ave. location, Officers heard gunshots and responded to the area of MLK Dr. and 8th St. Upon arrival, Lewis S. Geddie 20 was found by officers suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Geddie was transported to SGMC in Valdosta, Ga. Willis Lamar Flintroyal’s body was transported to the GBI Medical Examiner’s office for Autopsy.
