North Georgia Drug Task Force Investigation Leads to Narcotics and Weapon Seizure
Elberton, GA - On Friday, September 9th, 2016, after a two-month narcotics investigation of Bobby Joe Allen, age 52, of 202 College Avenue, Agents of the North Georgia Drug Task Force, Georgia Bureau of Investigation and Officers of the City of Elberton executed a search warrant at his residence at 202 College Avenue. Investigators recovered a quantity of suspected MDMA (Ecstasy), Morphine, and marijuana. In addition to the suspected illegal narcotics found, a 12-gauge shotgun was also found and taken as evidence as Allen is a convicted felon.
Active arrest warrants for Bobby Joe Allen are as follows: possession of MDMA (Ecstasy) with intent to distribute, possession of a schedule II drug (Morphine 15mg.), possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, and fraud in obtaining public assistance (Georgia EBT cards). Bobby Joe Allen has not been arrested for the above listed charges.

The North Georgia Drug Task Force is a Multi-Jurisdictional Narcotics Task Force comprised of the following agencies: Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, Madison County Sheriff’s Office, Lavonia Police Department, Elberton Police Department, and Hartwell Police Department. The North Georgia Drug Task Force is supervised by a supervisory agent with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
