Broxton, GA – On Wednesday, June 2, 2016, GBI agents along with Broxton PD officers secured arrest warrants for Dustin Ryan Steverson for four (4) counts of Aggravated Assault, two (2) counts of Cruelty to Children in the 3rd Degree, Aggravated Stalking, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime.  Steverson remains in the hospital and will be transported to the Coffee County jail upon his release.

On Wednesday, June 1, 2016, the GBI’s Douglas Regional Office was requested by the Broxton Police Department to assist in an aggravated assault investigation.

On this same date, officers with the Broxton Police Department responded to 107 Hunter Lane, Broxton, GA in reference to a report of a shooting.  Upon arrival, officers found Mary Myers, age 39, and Jerri Lynn Myers, age 23, at the scene suffering from gunshot wounds.  They were both transported to hospitals in Savannah and Douglas.  A third individual, Dustin Steverson, age 24, was transported by family members to a hospital in Ben Hill County.
