GBI Assisting Coffee County Sheriff’s Office in Homicide Investigation
Douglas, GA— On Thursday, November 19, 2015, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Douglas Regional Office was requested by the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office to assist in the investigation of the deaths of Meghan Bowen, 33, and James Harden, 39. Earlier Thursday, Coffee County Deputies responded to 38 Meadowbrook Lane in Douglas, Georgia regarding a report of deceased persons. Upon arrival, deputies found two deceased individuals inside the residence. The incident is being investigated as a homicide.
This investigation is ongoing as agents and sheriff’s investigators are currently pursuing leads into the death of these two individuals. Bowen and Harden will be sent to the GBI Medical Examiner’s Office in Savannah, Georgia for autopsy.
