Arrests Made in Mitchell Road Homicide Investigation
Warrenton, GA. – Two people have been arrested in connection with a double homicide that occurred in Warren County, Georgia earlier this year. On Wednesday, March 4, 2015, the GBI was requested to assist the Warren County Sheriff’s Office with a homicide investigation that occurred at a residence in the 1600 block of Mitchell Road in Warrenton. Deputies with the Warren County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the Mitchell Road residence in reference to an unresponsive person. Upon arrival, Deputies discovered that Barry Johnson, 47 years old, of Mitchell, Georgia, and Tenecia Posley, 28 years old, of Warrenton, Georgia had been shot and killed. The GBI Region 7 Field Office responded and began conducting an investigation.
On November 19, 2015, at approximately 7:00 AM, Donovon Raishad Fitts, 22 years old, of Thomson, Georgia was arrested without incident at Two State Construction Company by members of the GBI and McDuffie County Sheriff’s Office. Fitts is charged with two counts of Murder. At approximately 1:40 PM, Jermanique Vashon Franklin, 24 years old, of Thomson, Georgia, was arrested without incident at the GBI Office in Thomson. Franklin is also charged with two counts of Murder. Both Fitts and Franklin were relinquished into the custody of the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.
