Blackshear, GA— On Saturday, October 17, 2015, the GBI’s Douglas Field Office was requested by the Blackshear Police Department to assist with the homicide investigation of David Wilson, 37.  On the same date, the Blackshear Police Department responded to 310 Pomeroy Street, Apt D-3 in reference to a shooting.  Upon arrival, officers found Wilson suffering from a gunshot wound.  Wilson was taken to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead. 

This investigation is ongoing and GBI agents and Blackshear PD investigators are currently pursuing leads into Wilson’s death.  No arrests have been made at this time.  Anyone who has information pertaining to Wilson’s death is encouraged to contact the Blackshear Police Department at (912)-449-7011 or the Georgia Bureau of Investigation at (912)-389-4103.
