Thomson, GA. – On Monday, October 12, 2015, at approximately 11:00 PM, the GBI was requested to assist the Thomson Police Department with a homicide investigation that occurred at a residence in the 400 block of Gus Street. At approximately 10:30 PM, officers with the Police Department were dispatched to the Gus Street residence in reference to a person being shot. Upon arrival, officers discovered that Satrevian Tydarius Cartledge, 16 years old, had been shot. Cartledge was transported to University-McDuffie Hospital in Thomson where he was pronounced dead. The victim’s body will be transported to the GBI Crime Lab in Decatur, GA where an autopsy will be performed at a later time.

The GBI Region 7 Field Office responded and began conducting an investigation.  An arrest warrant has been issued for Quanterius Hampton, 21 years old, for the offense of Murder.  The GBI is asking for the public’s help in locating Quanterius Hampton.  Anyone with information concerning the whereabouts of Quanterius Hampton is asked to call the Thomson Police Department at 706-595-2166, the GBI at 706-595-2575, or McDuffie Co. 911.
