Chatsworth, GA. – Based upon the ongoing investigation by Murray County Sheriff’s Office and the GBI, Gloria Jane Brown, 64, of 5418 Fredrick Road in Cohutta was arrested today at the Murray County Sheriff’s Office.

The investigation revealed that Brown was the caregiver present and in care of both children on the morning of August 6 when a Murray County deputy was dispatched to 530 Bahamas Drive in Chatsworth to do a welfare check. Brown is charged with one count of Cruelty to Children (1st degree) and one count of False Imprisonment. A bond hearing was held at 2:00 PM today. 

Stephanie Stone and Wanda Redfern who were also arrested as part of this case remain in custody at the Murray County Jail, each on a $25,000.00 bond.
