Americus, GA – A joint investigation by the Americus office of the GBI and the Americus Police Department continues into the fatal shooting incident which occurred during the early morning hours of Tuesday, December, 30, 2014.  The shooting incident occurred at 802B Georgia Avenue, Americus, Georgia which resulted in the death of a four year child, Assata Snipes.  The victim was transported to a Macon hospital where she died at 7:00 pm Tuesday evening.
