Thomasville, GA - On Thursday, June 5, 2014, Brandon Scott Vinavong, 18, of Sylvester, was arrested for the murder of Bobby Anglon.  Anglon, 66, was killed at his residence located at 8894 Morey Hill Road in Mitchell County on August 23, 2013. Anglon received multiple gunshot wounds to his torso.

Vinavong was charged with Murder, Armed Robbery, Burglary, and Possession of a Firearm during the commission of a crime.

Vinavong was arrested without incident this morning by the Worth County Sheriff’s Office at 11 AM, at 450 Youngblood Road, Sylvester. This arrest was executed due to arrest warrants taken by agents of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

Anglon’s death was investigated by the Thomasville office of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation; the Mitchell County Sheriff’s Office; and the Worth County Sheriff’s Office.

Vinavong will be housed at the Mitchell County Jail where he will await a bond hearing. The investigation into Anglon’s murder is still on-going and more arrests are expected.
