Blackshear, GA- On Tuesday, August 27, 2013, at approximately 5:25 PM, the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office was called to a residence located on HWY 32, in Bristol, Pierce County GA., in reference to a gunshot victim. Brandon Cole Davis, 32 YOA, was discovered at the residence with a gunshot wound and was transported from the scene to an area where he was flown to a hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office requested the GBI Douglas office to assist in the investigation.  

Mr. Davis died the next day and an autopsy was conducted by the Duval County Florida Medical Examiner’s Office due to the victim passing away in the State of Florida. The autopsy results are pending and evidence will be submitted to the GBI Crime Lab. At this time, foul play is not suspected.
