Thomas County Deputy charged with Obstruction of a Law Enforcement Officer and Violation of Oath of Office
Thomasville, GA. – Thomas County Deputy Ronald Haggins, Jr. was arrested today by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation charged with one count of Obstruction of a Law Enforcement Officer and one count of Violation of Oath of Office. On April 25, 2013, the Thomas County Sheriff’s Office requested the GBI assist them with an investigation of allegations that Deputy Haggins divulged confidential information in reference to an impending arrest situation to the person who was to be arrested. Haggins was arrested at the Thomas County Sheriff’s Office and is being held in the Thomas County Jail. Haggins is 39 years of age and has been employed by the Thomas County Sheriff’s office for eight years.
