NASHVILLE-On Friday, June 10, 2011, the GBI Douglas Office was requested by the Nashville Police Department to investigate the stabbing of a Nashville City Councilman at his residence located on Sirmans Avenue in Nashville, Georgia.

On the above date, at approximately 11:43 a.m., Nashville Police responded to a 911 call at the residence of Michael Elliot Richbourg, 44 years of age, in reference to Richbourg having been stabbed by a female at his residence. Upon arrival, Richbourg and Erin Hogan Robinson, 29 years of age, were both found inside the residence with injuries and transported to a Regional Medical Center where both have been released as of today. Richbourg and Robinson had been in a relationship and the motive and cause of the incident is still under investigation.

There have been no charges filed or arrests made at the present time pending further interviews and examination of evidence collected at the scene.
