ROCKMART, GA. - The GBI is assisting the Polk County Police Department with an investigation into the death of 77-year-old James Yarbrough, whose body was discovered in his residence on Wednesday, July 21, around 10:00pm. He lived alone at 544 Morgan Valley Road in Rockmart.  

An autopsy conducted at the GBI crime lab on Thursday morning determined the manner of death to be homicide. The cause of death is being withheld due to the investigative value.
