Lakeland, Ga. - On Sunday, July 4, 2010, at approximately 10:00 a.m., the Lanier County Sheriff’s Department requested the GBI to assist with the investigation into the death of Leroy Lopez Salazar who was 23-years-old.

The body of Salazar was found outside his residence on Bryant Lane in Ray City, Ga., Lanier County by his girlfriend who also lived at the residence. The cause of death is pending the results of an autopsy scheduled today at the GBI Crime Lab in Atlanta. It is unknown at this time if foul play is involved.
