ALMA- On Monday, November 9, 2009, at approximately 7:04 pm, Bacon County 911 received a call in reference to shots being fired on Bayberry Road in Bacon County. Upon arrival, Deputies found an unknown black male with an apparent gunshot wound in a vehicle located at a residence on Bayberry Road. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation Douglas Office was contacted and requested to assist with the investigation.
 
The person that lived at the residence, who is not being identified at this time, is being interviewed. There have been no charges filed at this time. Authorities are looking for at least 2 more people who were involved, but their names are unknown at this time.
The deceased male did not have any identification on him and is not known or recognized by Bacon County Officers. The GBI Crime Lab will be conducting an autopsy to determine the number of wounds and cause of death.

The details of the shooting are still being gathered and the investigation is still on-going; therefore no other details will be released at this time.
