PEARSON- On Tuesday, June 9, 2009, Georgia Bureau of Investigation Crime Lab Officials identified the victim found in the Miami Motel as Tracy Jo Gehring, 31 years of age. The identification was made thru fingerprint comparison.

On Saturday, June 6, 2009, Pearson Police Department responded to the Miami Motel in Pearson, Georgia around 10:00a.m., and discovered a white female deceased inside a motel room.  The Georgia Bureau of Investigation field office in Douglas was requested to assist in the investigation.

Gerhing was originally from Ohio, but had recently been staying in Pearson.

An autopsy was performed on Monday, June 8, 2009, and the cause of death is pending further tests. However, there were no visible injuries found on the body.
