Milledgeville, GA (February 7, 2019) – On Thursday, January 31, 2019, at approximately 10:30 a.m., Georgia Bureau of Investigation agents, along with the assistance of the Baldwin County and Wilkinson County Sheriff’s Office deputies executed an arrest warrant for Keith Bobby Thomas, age 47. Thomas was arrested without incident for Violation of Georgia Substance Controlled Act, for the distribution of illegal drugs. Thomas was later transported to the Wilkinson County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center and there booked and processed.    

On Wednesday, January 23, 2019, the Wilkinson County Sheriff’s Office requested the assistance of the GBI regarding a drug investigation regarding a Public Official. The GBI began conducting an undercover investigation, which subsequently resulted in the arrest of Keith Bobby Thomas.     

The GBI will continue to conduct a thorough investigation concerning this incident and upon completion will turn the completed case file over to the Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office for their review.
