Hartwell, GA –  On Thursday, March 29, 2018, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation was requested by the Hart County Sheriff’s Office to investigate a reported child molestation. 

As a result of the investigation, Tommy Beeson, M.D., of Hartwell, has been charged with five counts of aggravated sexual battery, seven counts of child molestation, and two counts of sexual battery.  Beeson, age 71, surrendered to law enforcement in Flagstaff, Arizona without incident on Saturday, March 31, 2018.  Beeson is awaiting extradition.
