Blackshear- On Sunday April 27, 2008, at approximately 4:00 p.m., Pierce County Deputies were called to the residence of Ellis Lee Taylor located on Money Hole Road, in Blackshear, Pierce County Ga. Mr. Ellis, 48, was discovered with a severe head injury from an apparent assault.  The victim was transported to a hospital and the GBI Douglas office was requested to assist in the investigation.  

The victim lived alone and a motive for the assault is not known at this time. There were no apparent signs of a forced entry.
