Royston, Georgia - On Wednesday, August 23rd, 2017, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office received information from the Hart County Sheriff’s Office and the Elbert County Sheriff’s Office that William Jerry Fain was trafficking methamphetamine in Franklin, Hart and Elbert Counties.   Franklin County authorities and Officers of the Georgia Department of Community Supervision conducted a search of William Jerry Fain’s residence located at 90 Meadow Brook Drive, Royston, Georgia.  Deputies found 210 grams of methamphetamine, two digital scales with methamphetamine residue, and a methamphetamine pipe in the bathroom.  The street value of the methamphetamine is $23,100. 

William Jerry Fain, 53 and his wife Angela Terri Fain, 46, were charged with trafficking methamphetamine and possession and use of drug related objects. The Fains were transported to the Franklin County Detention Center.

The Department of Family and Children’s Services was contacted regarding a six year old juvenile in the residence.  Communication, cooperation and information sharing between the different agencies was the key element to dismantling this trafficking ring.
