Update: Kidnapping Suspect Arrested in Walton County
Barrow County/Walton County, GA – On November 28, 2016, John Calhoun was arrested by the Walton County Sheriff’s Office following a high speed vehicle pursuit in Walton County. Prior to his arrest, Calhoun also allegedly assaulted another individual in Barrow County. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he remains in stable condition.
Calhoun’s list of charges include two (2) counts of carjacking, two (2) counts of aggravated assault, two (2) counts of aggravated battery, two (2) counts of armed robbery, two (2) counts of vehicle theft, two (2) counts of elder abuse, one (1) count of burglary, one (1) count of kidnapping, one (1) count of financial transaction card fraud, and additional charges.
This investigation remains active and ongoing.

Police are seeking a man wanted on multiple charges including a kidnapping in Walton County that ended with the victim being located in Barrow County. John Calhoun, age 29, is 6’00” tall, 260 lbs, with brown hair, hazel eyes, goatee, tattoos, and is believed to be wearing a white t-shirt. He is considered armed and dangerous.
